CAB Address
The cab and throttle address is a unique number assigned to the NCE cab/throttle regardless of whether it is plugged in or radio operated. Each cab/throttle must have its own unique cab address to communicate with the command station. As a result changing a cabs address equally affects both radio and non radio operation. Note the current versions of the NCE DCC only allow a maximum of 16 Radio ProCabs to be used in the system (cabs with addresses 2-17).
This can be especially difficult with wireless cabs since once they are powered up on battery power they will automatically start using their assigned cab address. When multiple layouts are involved this can quickly become a nightmare and cab address conflicts can occur. When this happens the only way to resolve it is to reset the wireless cabs and clear their memory at the command station (see the articles listed below for more information on how to do this). Also make sure that if someone brings in a new cab to the club they are not given a previously used CAB 도메인.
REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -- The Combat Aviation Brigade Architecture Integration Lab (CABAIL) at Redstone Arsenal conducted its first Technology Insertion Event June 21-25. The CABAIL integrates maturing technologies from selected industry vendors into a simulated aviation force to explore and measure their operational relevance.
The CABAIL team consists of personnel from PEO Aviation, the Redstone Test Center and the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation and Missile Center. Its goal is to provide a realistic training environment that approximates the Army’s aviation capabilities in the Joint contingency theater of operations.
